Real Tests. Real Results. Real Proof.
"Invisible" ProtectionYou Can Actually See Working
We ran real-world stress tests on our invisible watermarking system and documented the results, so you can see exactly how much abuse your images can go through and still be traced back to you.
Why Trust Is So Hard With "Invisible" Anything
Most creators have been burned before:
"We protect your content!" …until it leaks.
"Our watermark is invisible and unbreakable!" …but they never show proof.
"Just trust us." …nope.
You're not wrong to be skeptical.
That's exactly why we tried to break WyrdMark on purpose. Instead of pretending the tech is magic, we wanted to know: What actually survives in the wild?
What We Tested (In Plain Language)
Using a protected "original" WyrdMark file, we tried to "ruin" the invisible watermark in ways a thief might:
Close Crop
Zoomed in tight on the subject
Duotone Filter
Heavy color grading and stylization
Crackle Texture
Added a distressed texture overlay
Focus Blur
Selective blur and focus effects
Photo of a Screen
Took a picture of the image on a monitor
Merch Mockup
Screenshot from print-on-demand preview
Digital Frame
Image in a frame with shadow/border
Cropped vs Uncropped
Testing if trimming to just the art helps
After each edit, we ran the file through WyrdMark's trace system to see if the invisible watermark could still be detected.
The Results: Where WyrdMark Held Up
In normal "leak" scenarios—reposts, screenshots, small edits, filters—WyrdMark's watermark stayed detectable.

Close Cropped
Even with a tight crop on the subject, WyrdMark still found the watermark.

Duotone Filter
Heavy color grading and stylized duotone effects? Still traceable.

Crackle Texture Overlay
A textured overlay added to the image did not stop the trace.

Focus Blur Filter
Selective blur and focus effects couldn't defeat the watermark.

Photo of a Screen
A photo of the image displayed on a screen (not a download, an actual camera photo) still registered.

Merch Screenshot (Cropped)
A screenshot from a print-on-demand mockup—when cropped to just our art—was successfully traced.
Key Learning: Cropping Matters
When an image contains a lot of extra space around your artwork—like a product mockup background or a decorative frame—the trace may fail. But cropping to just your original art often reveals the watermark.

Merch Mockup (Full)
The full product mockup with background failed detection—too much extra content around our art.

Merch Mockup → Cropped
Same image, but when cropped to just our artwork, the watermark was found.

Digital Frame → Cropped
A digital frame with shadow failed at first, but cropping to just the art revealed our watermark.
Pro tip: If you find a suspected theft on a merch site or in a frame, try cropping the screenshot down to just your artwork before running the trace. You'll have a much better chance of detection.
And remember: even if the trace doesn't detect your watermark, you still have your Certificate of Authenticity as proof of ownership for DMCA takedowns.
Your Certificate of Authenticity: Proof Even When the Trace Fails
Every time you protect a file with WyrdMark, you get an OG Certificate of Authenticity—Proof of Original Content Ownership.
A unique fingerprint (hash) of your original file
Timestamp and metadata at the moment of protection
Your creator info and verification details
A record that links you to the original source file
So even if the image has been cropped into oblivion, filters have mangled the pixels beyond trace, or the watermark detection simply can't lock on...
...you still have independent, time-stamped proof that you created and registered the original content.

DMCA Takedowns
Submitting a takedown with cryptographic proof
Platform Disputes
Responding to platforms that ask for proof of ownership
Legal Evidence
Showing your attorney a clear, verifiable chain of custody
The trace is your first line of defense.
Your Certificate of Authenticity is your backup parachute.
Handling the Emotional Side: "What If It Still Leaks?"
Let's be real: no tool erases the risk of leaks completely. The fear is valid.
What WyrdMark does is shift you from powerless to prepared:
Instead of "I hope nothing happens," it becomes
"If something happens, I can prove it's mine and act fast."
Instead of guessing whether a screenshot or repost is traceable,
you've already seen examples of what survives.
Instead of trusting vague promises,
you have hard tests, visible results, and a documented certificate in your corner.
You're not just uploading content into a black box.
You're building evidence.
What You Get When You Protect With WyrdMark
When you run your images through WyrdMark, you're buying more than "invisible pixels."

Trace Reports for Leaks
Upload a suspicious file, and if the watermark is detected, we tie it back to your original protected content.
Certificate of Authenticity
Your independent proof of ownership, even if detection fails on an edited copy.
Privacy-First Handling
Originals pass through our system for processing and are not stored as a permanent gallery of your content.
Who This Is For
You create artwork that could be stolen, leaked, or resold.
You want quiet, private protection, not public watermarks slapped across your face.
You're willing to take one extra step in your workflow now to save yourself hours of stress later if something goes wrong.
If you need a guarantee that nothing can ever be leaked in any form, WyrdMark can't honestly promise that—and neither can anyone else.
If you want evidence, leverage, and a process for when things go sideways, that's exactly what this was built to give you.
